It uses a battery that's charged by a petrol engine, meaning there's no need to plug to charge. Qashqai is also available with a Mild Hybrid powertrain. The drive for efficiency has never been more easy
A mild hybrid shows enhanced fuel efficiency compared to a traditional petrol engine, specifically in urban driving scenarios and emits less CO2 emissions whilst driving [3]. The mild hybrid system features a lithium battery that stores energy recovered during braking. The recovered energy supports the vehicles electrical systems allowing the start/stop system to activate in more situations to enhance fuel efficiency. Furthermore, aluminium has been used on the doors, bonnet & wings to reduce weight and improve performance.
ECO MODE
To help you go farther between fill-ups, Eco Mode optimizes engine, transmission, and other driving functions so you can drive more efficiently.
NORMAL MODE
Normal mode is a balance between performance and economy providing a driving experience suitable in all conditions.
SPORT MODE [4]
Snow Mode modifies accelerator mapping, and transmission tuning for less wheel spin and more grip. The Intelligent 4WD system also adapts by starting with all four wheels engaged.
OFF-ROAD MODE [4]
Tuned to handle dirt, sand or gravel. Off-Road Mode enhances traction and control by adjusting the throttle response, transmission, and Intelligent 4WD system for optimal performance.
